Friends of the Wood,
We often think of emptiness in the negative. A lack or loss. Boredom. Nihilism. Alienation. Apathy.
We become so cluttered with our day-to-day living. The competing chattering voices telling us, “You need this. You need that. You don’t have enough. You aren’t enough….” All this noise can lead to the aforementioned lack or loss.
And this can be true. But emptiness can also be space – an openness to receive. When we quell the voices, release the external need, and sit with ourselves, we can become vessels that make more space for the Holy.
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10 am on 1130 Balclutha, Zoom, or Livestream as we examine “The Gift of Emptiness”.
Share the journey,
