What is JOY Scouts?
JOY Scouts is Island United Church’s new Sunday School program, scheduled to start Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 10 am! We welcome children who are curious about the world and want to explore their relationship to their faith, the people and world around them, and with God. JOY stands for Jesus, Others, and You. JOY Scouts earn badges throughout the program in the form of heart buttons. They are guided through their journey with the help of Sunflower the Bee, the JOY Scouts mascot—named by our very first JOY Scout!
This program is brand-new and in development, and we’d love to hear from you about how we can make JOY Scouts a place where you want to bring your children each Sunday. Write to us at info@iucfc.org.
Island United is a Safe Church. We have implemented policies and procedures that protect all who enter our doors. The full policy can be viewed here.
